Why can’t I save an entry in the sleep journal?

In this article, you will learn why it sometimes is not possible to save an entry in the sleep journal and how you can solve the problem.

If an entry in the digital sleep journal cannot be saved, this can be for a number of reasons. Please check the following points:

  • Do not forget to save: After entering your times, the entry is not saved automatically. Therefore, click on “Save”. It is only when the confirmation message “Entry saved” appears that your entry has been saved.
  • Missing information: If an entry is incomplete, the corresponding fields will be highlighted in orange. Please add all missing information. Only then can the entry be saved.
  • Special characters in personal notes: Special characters cannot be saved in personal notes. Remove these characters from your text and then try saving the entry again.
  • Correct entry of awake time: Awake time in the morning log only includes the periods of wakefulness between falling asleep and final waking. Time before falling asleep and after waking up is automatically taken into account and must not be added to awake time.
  • Correct time format: Please enter your times in 12-hour format (AM/PM), and separate hours and minutes with a colon, for example “9:00 PM”.
  • No date in the future: Entries with a future date cannot be saved. Please select a date in the past or the current day.
  • Technical requirements: Make sure that your operating system is up-to-date and that you are using the latest version of the app or your browser. Outdated versions can cause entries not to be saved correctly.

If you continue to have trouble saving, please contact our support team. Please tell us, if possible, which device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, or computer) and which operating system, including the version, you are using (e.g. iOS 17, Android 14, Windows 11, or macOS Sonoma). Information about the displayed error message is also helpful, as well as, if possible, a screenshot and a short description of the entry.
