Registration and activation code: How to get started with somnio!
In this article, you will learn step by step how to register for somnio and activate your user account.
Note that the steps described below apply only to users based in Germany. The steps might differ if you access somnio from a different location.
To use somnio, you need to register once.

Note:
Before you begin, please check whether the activation code you received was actually issued for somnio. In rare cases, mix-ups occur with other digital health apps.
To register, you can either use the somnio app on your smartphone or register via the browser version. The app is available in the App Store for iOS devices and in the Google Play Store for Android devices.
- Go to the homepage and registration
- Open the somnio app or the homepage in the browser using the following link: https://app.somn.io/session/login
- Click on "Register" there.
- You will automatically be redirected to the registration page; if this does not work, please use this link: https://app.somn.io/session/registration
- Create a new account
- Under "Create a new account", enter your personal email address that you want to use for somnio.
- Carefully read the General Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the information on the processing of your personal data, as well as the exclusion criteria, and confirm them by selecting the corresponding checkboxes.
- Then click on "Continue".
- Note on activation code
- You will now receive a notice that you need an activation code to use somnio.
- Click on "Create account".
- Activate account
- You will now receive an email with an activation link for the final activation of your account. If you cannot find the email, please also check your spam or junk folder.
- Open the email and click on "Finalise registration".
- You will then be asked to set a personal password.
- Set password
Your password must meet the following requirements:
- at least 8 characters
- at least 1 uppercase letter
- at least 1 special character
After you have entered your password, click on "activate account".
- Enter activation code
- You will now be asked whether you already have an activation code.
- If you already have an activation code, select "I have an activation code", enter your 16-digit activation code, and then click on "Start somnio".
- A zero (0) never appears in the code – it is always an “O” as in Oscar.
- A vertical line is always an “I” as in Indigo, not the number 1.
- If you do not yet have an activation code, select the corresponding option. You will then be temporarily directed to a virtual waiting room. As soon as you have received your activation code, you can enter it there and start somnio.
- Set up passkey (currently still optional)
- To protect your data even better, you will be able to log in with a passkey in the future. This means that instead of entering your password every time, you use, for example, your fingerprint, facial recognition, or your device PIN to log in. Setting it up is currently still voluntary and can be skipped. You can set up or change a passkey at any time later in your somnio profile.
Your account has now been successfully activated. Welcome to somnio.
Note:
Under the menu item "License", you can view the validity of your license. You can now use the digital training somnio from this point onward and for this period.
