How does the app behave when changing time zones?

In this article, you will learn how somnio handles time zones and what you should keep in mind when traveling or changing locations.

The time zones in the somnio app always follow your device settings. So if you travel and the time zone on your smartphone, tablet, or laptop adjusts automatically, somnio will also apply this change automatically.

This means: All time information in the sleep journal and in the evaluations is displayed according to the time zone currently set on your device.

If you would like, you can record a time zone change or a trip in the personal note of your sleep journal, for example with the location of your stay. This can help you later better understand whether changes in your sleep may be related to the trip or change of location.

If you would like to continue keeping your sleep journal in the original time zone, please check the time zone settings on your device. If needed, you can disable automatic time zone adjustment there or manually set the previous time zone. This setting will then also affect the display in somnio.
