How much time does using somnio take?

In this article, you will learn how much time you should schedule for somnio and how the sleep training can be integrated into your daily routine.

The time required to use somnio is manageable and can be integrated well into your daily routine.

The most important and most regular component of the sleep training is the sleep journal. You complete this daily, and it usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes. The journal entries are central to the training, as they form the basis for the individual adjustment of your sleep window as well as for personal feedback and recommendations within the app. At the same time, you can track how your sleep changes over time.

Completing training modules. In addition, you work through the somnio training modules. The program consists of 10 educational modules, meaning modules in which you are gradually taught knowledge about sleep, sleep behavior, and sleep-promoting strategies, 4 goal modules, one concluding module, and one follow-up module. Depending on the content and your personal approach, working through one module takes between about 5 and 25 minutes. You decide how quickly you move through the modules. You can also pause modules at any time and continue working on them later.

Waiting times between training modules. Before each goal module, there is a short waiting period of at least 3 days. For this, you need three new journal entries before the next module is unlocked. This pause is deliberately planned so that you can apply what you have learned and observe changes. The entries also help your digital sleep expert Albert to better understand your sleep behavior, calculate your sleep window, and adapt the recommendations to your progress.

In theory, somnio can be completed within 2 weeks; however, it makes sense to take your time working through the modules and gradually integrate the recommendations into your daily routine. On average, our somnio users take 6 to 7 weeks to complete the concluding module. Even after completing all modules, it is worth continuing the sleep journal in order to stabilize routines and keep an eye on changes in sleep behavior.

The follow-up module remains available to you for this purpose. You can reuse it weekly if you would like to continue working with guidance. The requirement for this is seven current journal entries.

In summary, it can be said: With a daily time commitment of around 10 minutes for the sleep journal and occasional additional time slots for the modules, somnio supports you in working on your sleep in the long term – without putting a heavy burden on your daily routine [reference].
