Die digitale Gesundheitsanwendung (DiGA) somnio basiert auf der Kognitiven Verhaltenstherapie für Insomnie (KVT-I). Die KVT-I hat sich in vielen Studien als wirksames Verfahren zur Behandlung von Ein- und Durchschlafstörungen (Insomnie) erwiesen. Daher ist sie in der S-3 Behandlungsleitlinie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Schlafforschung und Schlafmedizin als Behandlungsmethode erster Wahl aufgeführt.
